ABOUT LIVINGSTONE KNOWLES

LIVINGSTONE KNOWLES, Tiffani's father and co-author, is a native of Nassau, Bahamas born in 1947.  He worked in the travel industry for more than 46 years, starting with the airlines in his native Bahamas. He migrated to the United States in 1968 and settled in Miami, Florida.
From 1974 until he retired in 2011, he was employed with Greyhound Lines in the Miami, Florida region in various capacities from ticket agent to bus station manager then North Miami franchisee.
Miami is the epicenter of immigration in the state of Florida and Greyhound buses are the preferred mode of transportation for people on the lower economic scale. As a franchisee of the North Miami station, he helped thousands of down-on-their luck travelers passing through his station and dozens of immigrants to receive gainful employment at his location.
Additionally, for more than thirty years, he was a member of the Open Bible Church in Miami Fl., a primarily West Indian congregation, serving as a leader in their public relations, outreach and missions departments.
These two avenues afforded him a unique insight into the life and condition of the prototypical third-world immigrant. He has a singular perspective into the world of that immigrant – which some are declaring to be murderers, rapists and thieves.
When he retired in 2011, he began writing about his perspectives on life, social injustice and faith in his daughter Tiffani’s publication NEWD Magazine in a column called, “Just Thinking.”
Livingstone and his wife Gloria presently reside in Central Florida.
